The specification is below: ten actives, their doses, and the reasoning behind each. Hair is the first protocol.

The evidence

Active system index

Ten actives. All of them dosed

Not a proprietary blend. Not a fraction of a study dose. Every active in HR01.1 is named on the label at the amount it is present.

HR01.1

Active system index. Per 4 capsules, one daily serving. Bars are drawn to one milligram scale, with a minimum length so every active is visible; read the figures for the doses.

Rationale

Four contributors, one formulation

Hair is not one system. HR01.1 is built across the four that the literature keeps returning to.

  1. Hormonal

The hormonal influence on follicle behaviour, particularly androgens such as DHT.

  2. Oxidative

Cellular stress on follicle metabolism and the antioxidant defences that counter it.

  3. Structural

The amino acids and minerals that compose the hair fibre itself.

  4. Stress-related

The relationship between physiological stress and the hair cycle.

The product

  1. Why morning

Taken in the morning so the daily dose is consistent and easy to remember. The protocol is a habit, not a regimen.

  2. Why with food

HR01.1 contains fat-soluble actives. Taken with a meal that includes some dietary fat (eggs, avocado, dairy, nuts, or olive oil) absorption is supported by the dietary lipid present.

  3. Why four

Splitting the daily dose across four capsules keeps each unit swallowable. One capsule could not carry the mass; eight would compromise compliance.

Questions

Before you commit

How long should I take HR01.1 before assessing my response?

Hair grows on its own biological clock. Each follicle cycles through phases of growth, transition, and rest, and a hair shaft grows roughly 1 cm per month during its active phase. New hairs only become visible above the scalp once the previous hair has shed and the new one has grown out, a process that typically takes three months or longer. For this reason, nutritional protocols are evaluated over months, not weeks. We recommend taking HR01.1 consistently for at least three months before assessing your response, and ideally six months for a fuller picture.

Why four capsules?

Each capsule is the largest swallowable format in standard supplement manufacture. Splitting the daily dose across four of them is what allows the formulation to deliver every active at the dose specified. A single capsule could not carry the total mass. Eight capsules would compromise daily compliance. Four is the protocol that holds full doses without asking too much of the routine.

Who is HR01.1 not for?

HR01.1 is intended for adults only. It is not suitable during pregnancy, while planning pregnancy, or while breastfeeding. It is also not suitable for individuals with autoimmune conditions, thyroid disorders, or liver conditions. If you take prescription medication, particularly anticoagulants, blood pressure medication, thyroid medication, diabetes medication, sedatives, or oral contraceptives, consult your doctor or pharmacist before use. The full list of contraindications is on the label.

How is HR01.1 different from a generic hair supplement?

Three things. First, full disclosure. Every active is named and dosed on the label. No proprietary blends. No undisclosed quantities. Second, doses held to the published literature. Where an active has nutritional research behind it, the dose in HR01.1 reflects that research and not a fraction of it. Third, the formulation is a specification. We document what is in it and why each active is at the dose stated.

What if I'm taking other supplements?

Three of the actives in HR01.1 (Vitamin D3, Zinc, and Selenium) have safe upper intake limits set by UK guidance. If you take other supplements containing these nutrients, such as a multivitamin, a separate vitamin D supplement, or zinc lozenges, check the cumulative daily intake to stay within recommended upper limits. The doses in HR01.1 are within the safe range when taken alone.

What happens when the formulation is updated?

Reformulation is the default, not the exception. When the published evidence on an active or a dose moves, the formulation moves with it. Each revision is logged with the date and the change.

Methodology

How we formulate

A protocol is a moving document. We commit to updating it when the evidence moves.

  1. Evidence-led

Every active is selected from peer-reviewed literature. Doses match the studies they cite. We will not list an ingredient we cannot defend at the dose stated.

  2. Specification-led

Each formulation is published with full doses, sources, and standardisations. No proprietary blends, no marketing language. The specification is the brand.

  3. Reformulation by default

Protocols are updated as the evidence develops. Reformulation is the default, not the exception.

  4. UK design, GMP manufacture

Formulated in London. Manufactured to GMP standards. Each batch is independently assayed for potency and purity before release.
